"A patrol director has two lines of responsibilities:
one to area management or the public lands administration and one to
the National Ski Patrol (NSP).
Responsibilities to management include performing in accordance with
management policies and maintaining good rapport and communication with
area management or the public lands administration.
Responsibilities to the NSP include serving as an officer within the
NSP division in accordance with division bylaws and policies.
Principally, patrol directors must - (1) ensure that the patrol members meet national education requirements; (2) communicate NSP policies to patrol members in a timely and accurate manner; and
(3) maintain administrative and financial data and all other records
for their patrols." 1997 NSP Patrollers Manual. |
