You Can Help Us!
Our members gladly donate their time and effort, but much of the
patrol’s rescue equipment and training materials are
purchased with money raised through fund-raisers and donations.
Our primary fund-raiser is our annual Ski-Swap at the Yakima County
Fairgrounds, in Yakima. The Ski swap usually occurs the last weekend in
October, or the first weekend in November. It’s a fun time
for everyone and there are good deals too. There’s a wide
variety of equipment including Alpine, Nordic & Telemark skis
and Snowboard’s and also clothing, goggles and gloves for
your consideration as well. And since we're a charitable organization,

Another way we pay for those AED's, rescue toboggans, splints,
hot-water bottles and band-aids, is to gladly accept your donations. "
... This long tradition of promoting the enjoyment and safety of skiing
prompted the United States Congress to grant a federal charter to the
NSP in 1980 under Public Law 96-489. The NSP is registered under
section 501 (c) (1) of the Internal Revenue Code as a nonprofit
association organized and operated exclusively for educational
purposes. All subordinate units are granted exempt status under section

The White Pass Ski Patrol is a member of the Pacific Northwest Division
of the National Ski Patrol (NSP). All donations are tax

Many
companies provide matching funds when you donate to charitable
organizations (i.e. United Way). In the case of United Way you can
usually designate to which organizations you want your funds to be
applied. The White Pass Ski Patrol is a recipient of United Way funds.
